Frank Tyree and Lewis Schmidt Drown

Pikeville, KY., March 3.--Frank Tyree of Catlettsburg, KY., and Lewis Schmidt of Portsmouth, O., both prominent traveling men, were drowned in the Big Sandy, near here, by the overturning of a boat in which they were traveling down stream. Edward Burke of Catlettsburg, a traveling man also, who was with them, seized hold of a saw log and floated with the tide several miles before being rescued. Neither of the bodies has been recovered.
