Portsmouth Plays Packers to 6 - 6 Tie

PORTSMOUTH O Dec. 15---The Green Bay Packers held the Portsmouth Spartans to a 6 to 6 tie here yesterday, capturing the 1930 national professional football championship which would have gone to the New York Giants had they lost. The Packers also were champions in 1929.
Portsmouth played one of the greatest games of the year to hold the Green Bay team in check and it appeared for a time that the Wisconsin squad would go down to defeat. The New York Giants played-Notre Dame stars yesterday, winning 22 to 0.
