National League Teams Meet
at Portsmouth Wednesday
Night 8 O'clock

PORTSMOUTH, O., Nov, 6,- To- night has been designated as "homecoming day" at Portsmouth, O., when "Benny" Friedman and his New York Giants will offer the opposition to the Ohio valley entrant, "The Portsmouth Spartans" in the National Football league in what is expected to be the greatest football game played this year. The game begins at 8 p.m.

Parties from all over the Ohio valley are planning on making a trek to Portsmouth to see what the Spartans can do against the greatest forward passer the game has ever known. Friedman, while playing at Michigan and where he was chosen all-America quarterback for several years, was then acknowledged to be the best sharpshooter ever seen on a college gridiron. Since leaving the Ann Arbor school, Benny has worked so that now, he is able to place the ball in the hands of his receiver wherever he may be.

Friedman is well supported by a group of former all-America players and the Spartans will have to exert themselves to make a creditable showing.

Portsmouth fans, after the showing the "Floodwallers" made against the great Read Grange when they stopped him in his track and his Chicago Bears 7 to 6, two weeks ago, are confident that the Spartans will give the club from New York one of the hardest battles of the year.

This is the last night game of the Spartan home season. The team will go on a road trip throughout the east and return December 7 to play the Minneapolis Red Jackets and on December 14, the league-leading Green Bay Packers.
