Nevers Scores 17 of 23 Points Against Spartans

Chicago. Oct. 27 (AP)- Ernie Nevers and the Chicago Cardinals dealt the pro football title aspirations of the Portsmouth Spartans a runious jolt yesterday.

With Nevers scoring 17 points, the Cards did a comeback to chalk up a 23 to 13 triumph at Comiskey park. Nevers plunged for two touchdowns, place-kicked a goal from the field and, added two points after touchdowns, and heaved a pass to Cobb Rooney for the other score.
