Portsmouth Industrial Park Gains Backing

Portsmouth, Ohio, (AP) - A proposed 147-acre industrial park east of Portsmouth will receive a $1.2 million development grant, U.S. Rep. William Harsha. R-Ohio, announced Wednesday.

Harsha, the Greater Portsmouth Growth Corp. and the Portsmouth area Chamber of Commerce worked for months to acquire the grant for the Franklin Furnace
park.

The government will loan another $725,000 for development, Harsha said.
