Quincy Gas and Electric Company is Sold

Quincy, III., April 2.- The Quincy Gas and Electric Company has been sold to a New York syndicate represented by the J.T. Lynn Company. This syndicate controls plants at Port Huron and Alpena, Mich.: Sheboygan, Wis.; Joplin, Mo.; Goshen, Ind; Fremont, Marion, Bellevue, Bowling Green and Portsmouth, O.; Rome, N.Y., and Willamsport, PA.  The Quincy plant has for four years been owned by a syndicate of capitalists of Bangor and Augusta, Me.  The gas and electric plants are capitalized at $600,000, with a bond issue of equal sum.  The purchase price is not given.
