Columbus, O., Sept. 28--(INS)

Bringing promise of the end of the church "strike" by the congregation of the Burgess-av United Brethren church, Rev. C. H. Lilly has "made a proposition" to the official board of the Strasburg, O., church, indicating a willingness to accept the pulpit there, he said today.

Lilly's acceptance of the Strasburg pastorate, it was believed here, would mark the conclusion started when the Portsmouth conference ordered Lilly's transfer to Hillsboro, O.

Lilly refused to accept and members of his congregation then reassigned Lilly to Strasburg, in Tuscarawas-co. He preached there Sunday.
