Rev. Vorhis Accepts Portsmouth Pastorate
In a pre-conference announcement from Methodist headquarters of the Lima District, word has been received that Rev. Wilbur A. Vorhis of Wapakoneta has accepted the pastorate of Trinity Methodist Church in Portsmouth. He is known in Marion, having held special meetings and appeared here on various occasions. In addition, he has been active in young people's work and has taught several sessions at Youth Fellowship Institute at Lakeside. At one time he was pastor at Ada.
His new appointment becomes effective immediately, and he and his family will move to Portsmouth following annual Conference session at Lakeside which opens Tuesday. He will follow in the Trinity Church pastorate Dr. William L. Steffens, who is to be new superintendent of the Springfield district.
