Thomas Patton, 56, surrendered to Sheriff Al Bridwell today, saying, the sheriff said, that he shot to death his nephew, Waldo Monroe, 23, on a farm near Dutiels Corner, 20 miles northeast of here in Scioto-co.

Sheriff Bridwell said Patton told him he shot his nephew because he caused a disturbance at the Patton home Monday night. Patton said he shot the youth four times, while cutting corn, the sheriff said. Monroe's body was found in a cornfield.
