Portsmouth O., Mar. 25 - An unusual accident caused injuries to two Portsmouth fireman Saturday night.

Donald Oakes, 32, and Anton Staker, 30, were helping the New Boston firemen fight a fire in a two-story frame dwelling there.

Staker was near the top of a ladder at a second floor window holding a hose line when the water was turned on. The pressure threw him off the ladder and he fell on Oakes, who was at the foot of the ladder.

Staker's metal helmet cut a deep gash in Oakes' head and sent him to a hospital. Staker was shaken and bruised.
