State Not to Abandon Big Game Preserve

Instead of being abandoned, the Roosevelt game preserve in the hills of Scioto-co is to be developed into the state's major hunting ground. State Conservation Commissioner William H. Reinhart, who previously had recommended discontinuance of propagation of deer at the preserve, reversed himself after an inspection of the project yesterday.
Reinhart said his inspection convinced him that the preserve is one of the best locations in the state for game refuge. He told the Southern Ohio Fish and Game-assn that its plans for improving the project would be considered and carried out.
