Escape From Prison at Portsmouth and Go to Kentucky

Cincinnati, Aug. 11, - A Times Star special from Portsmouth, Ohio, says: Dave Clapper and Wm. Hughes, under sentence for violating local option laws, escaped from the police station by sawing the iron bars this morning. A number of country prisoners, whom they offered to release from their cells, refused to go. The fugitives escaped in a skiff to Kentucky."
