Mrs. John Shope Charged with Murder

PORTSMOUTH, OH., Jan. 6-(AP)- Prosecuter Marvin A. Kelley said a second degree murder charge would be filed today against Mrs. John Shope, 16, in the fatal shooting of Frank Richards, 22, near South Webster Saturday, and that the woman would be referred to juvenile court. Sheriff Earl Brandel quoted Mrs. Shope as saying she shot Richards when he threatened to kill her husband during a quarrel.
