Woman Indicted After "Love Murder" in Home

Portsmouth, O., June 27- A second degree murder indictment was returned today by the Scioto-co grand jury against Mrs. Ethel Pusateri, 35, alleged killer of the woman she found with her husband. Another indictment charged with her shooting with intent to kill her husband August Pusateri, 48, wealthy whole sale fruit dealer.

Authorities charge that Mrs. Pusateri, returning home late the night of June 20, from a visit to Cincinnati, found her husband and Mrs Irmatrude McCoy, 30, in the Pusateri residence.

Mrs. McCoy was struck by a rifle bullet and killed and Pusateri was shot in the chest. He is in a hospital. Doctors expect a recovery.

Mrs. Pusateri is at liberty under a bond of $2000.

 

 


Shot By Wife, Ohioan Given Change to Live

August Pusateri, 46, fruit wholesaler, critically wounded in a love triangle shooting at his home here Wednesday night was given a "fair chance" to recover by hospital attendants today.

Meantime, relatives of Mrs. Ermatrude Batterson McCoy, 28, who was slain by Mrs. Ethel Pusateri when she found ther couple together on an unexpected return home, made plans for the funeral probably Friday.

Mrs. Pusateri, waiving examination, pleaded not guilty to a charge of second degree murder and was bound over to the grand jury. She was freed under a $2000 bond.
