Last year was a great period with Scioto county in more things than one. The following facts gleaned from the records in the probate court will be of interest:
The total number of marriage licenses granted during 1892 was 380.
The most popular month was December, during which 58 licenses were issued.
The smallest number issued in one month was 17 in May.
Of the total number issued, in 51 instance one of the parties was underage.
On February 27 eight licenses were issued. On December 24 ten were filled out, the largest number issued on any one day.
