Abate A Nuisance

Portsmouth, O. - July 1 - No longer need the young people of this city hesitate to marry through fear that the marriage ceremony will be followed by riotous conduct on the part of the rising generation.  An ordinance recently was passed by the town council making it a misdemeanor to charivari newlyweds, and the new law becomes effective today, thereby putting an end to the old-time custom, which in recent years has developed into nuisances.
