W.K. Adams, state commander of the Ohio department of Disabled American Veterans of the World War, and Albert L. Daniels, department adjutant and rehabilitation officer, will address a rally in Memorial hall at 8 p.m. Thursday, B.R. Naus, commander of the local chapter announced Monday.
Adams is a resident of Portsmouth and has been an outstanding leader in veterans affairs for many years in Ohio. Daniels, who is familiar with all laws and regulations pertaining to veterans' benefits and claims for war-time disabled men, will answer all questions regarding individual claims. His home is in Cincinnati.
The D. A. V. as it is better known, is an organization made up of men who were wounded, gassed, or in some way physically handicapped by their World war service. All ex-service men, particularly war-time disabled veterans of the Lima District, are invited to attend the conclave, Naus stated.
Ferd J. Maag, northwest zone commander, of Defiance, also has accepted an invitation to be president at the meeting.
