John McDermott Dies in Penitentiary

Died in the Pen

Columbus, O. June 19 - John McDermott, the Scioto County prisoner in the penitentiary hospital, died Tuesday morning. He was received in the hospital June 3, suffering will chorea, and has been a very sick man ever since. He became insane and had to be strapped to his bed. His wife in Portsmouth was immediately notified and arrived Tuesday afternoon to take charge of the remains.
