Glasco is Sentenced

Ironton, O. - Dec. 10 -

William Glasco, negro, who attacked Miss Maloney on Thanksgiving day, and who has been held in jail at Portsmouth to avert the subsiding of public indgnities and to prevent mob violences brought here and arraigned in common pleas court. 

He plead guilty to an indictment for attack to kill and was sentenced to 15 years in the penitentiary at hard labor, the maximum penalty.  The prisoner was hurried off to Portsmouth by train, all within two hours.  A large crowd gathered at the depot, but no violence was reported.
