Flashlight Aide Seamstress

After wearing out her patience in threading the needle of her sewing machine, an ingenious housekeeper in Portsmouth, Ohio, attached a flashlight to the arm of the machine, and thus ended her troubles, says Popular Science Monthly.

The light was clamped to the machine with a strap of brass and a pair of bolts and wingnuts in a position that throws the needle into silhouette when the light is turned on.
