Reversal Asked In Decision On Traffic Death

COLOMBUS, O., Jan 9- (AP) - The state today asked the supreme court to review and reverse the decision of the Mahoning court of appeals which had reversed the conviction of Charles Corroto on a charge of manslaughter.

Corroto had been convicted in the common pleas court in connection with a traffic accident resulting in the death of William McNutt, August 13, 1933. The state had charged that Corroto was intoxicated while driving his automobile; that he had entered a public highway without giving on it the right of way, and that he was driving without lights.

The appelate court reversed the conviction and remanded the case for a new trial on the ground that the trial judge had wrongly instructed the jury in consideration of the change that Corroto had not yielded the right of way.

Charles. W. G. Hanna, of Portsmouth, also asked the court to review and reverse his conviction in the Scioto-co court on a charge of cutting to wound William Hanna, a third cousin.
