Radio Station Asked At Mount Vernon, Ohio

WASHINGTON-- The Mount Vernon Broadcasting Co. of Mount Vernon,O., has applied to the communications commission for a new standard radio station to be operated during the day with 500 watts on 1300 kilocycles. The commission also said Thursday station WNXT of Portsmouth,O., has asked to increase its day broadcasting power from one to five kilowatts.
