Mr. George Johnson

Thursday we referred to the death of Mr. George Johnson, of Portsmouth, brother of Doctor and David Johnson, of this city.  The Cincinnati Commercial, in referring to the matter, say: "Hon.  George Johnson, Republican Representative of Scioto county, died at his residence in Portsmouth, in the sixtieth year of his age.  The deceased was one of the oldest members of the Bar in that county, a prominent Mason and Odd Fellow, and at the time of his death was President of the Portsmouth National Bank.  He was a most esteemed and prominent citizen."
