Bannon for Congress

Portsmouth, OH, April 1. - The Tenth district Republican convention nominated Henry T. Bannon of Portsmouth, for Congress on the twenty-seventh ballot. Lawrence County withdrew the name of A.R. Johnson in Bannon's favor and the remaining counties, save Gallia and Jackson, rapidly fell into line. Colonel H. A. Manting of Ironton and Senator Samuel Patterson of Waverly were selected national delegates, and R. H. Ellison of Adams presidential elector.
