CCC Workers

PORTSMOUTH.-Four hundred CCC camp members arrived for duty in case of an emergency. The flood wall, augmented by a two-foot sand bag addition, appeared in no danger. Business went on as usual about the city. Water poured into the streets of nearby Sciotoville and New Boston, O., and Fullerton and South Portsmouth, Ky.

The river at 9 a.m. was 59.17 and rising less than a half inch an hour. A crest of 59.6 was predicted.
