Prof. H. P. Smith Resigns

Portsmouth, O., March 20. - Prof. H. P. Smith of Cincinnati, who for the past four years has been an instructor in the Portsmouth high schools, has resigned. The resignation was recepted by the board of education, who immediately adopted a resolution thanking the professor for his excellent services and recommending him as a capable and efficient instructor. Miss Bessie Hall, a former graduate of the high school, has been chosen as his successor.
