Open Fight On Diphtheria In Rural Schools

Children of Pre- School age also to be given toxid treatment.

Toxoid immunization of all pupils of the first grad and pre-school pupils of rural schools in Scioto county will start Monday under direction of Dr. G. W. Fishbaugh, county health commissioner.

Immunization is a part of the health board's campaign against diphtheria. Health lectures and pictures were presented in several sections of the county last week. Miss Gladys Hughes and Miss Lucy Lynn, health nurses will assist the health commissioner.

The schedule follows: Monday, Dec. 18, Harrison township; 1:30 p.m., Bennett; 2 p.m., Sunshine; 2:30 p.m., Meade and 2 p.m., Tick Ridge.

Tuesday- 9 a.m. Madison township, Carmel: 9:30 a.m., Salem; 10 a.m., White; 10:30 a.m., Oak Grove; 11 a.m., Glades; 11:30 a.m., White Gravel; 1 p.m. Dewey; 1:30 p.m., Adams and 2:15 p.m., Fairview.

Wednesday-Jefferson and Valley townships, 9 a.m., Glendale; 10 a.m., Blue Run: 10:30 a.m., Back Run; 11 a.m., Fallen Timber; 2 p.m., Lucasville.

Thursday- Porter township 9 a.m., Sciotodale : 9:45 a.m., Wilson addition; 10:30 a.m., Allentown; 1:30 p.m., Wheelersburg.

Wednesday, Jan. 3, Bloom and Vernon townships, 9 a.m., Kittles; 9:45 a.m., South Webster; 11:15, Jackson Fork: 1 p.m., Federick; 1:30 p.m., Scioto Furnace; 3 p.m., Gephart.

Thursday, Jan. 4, Green and Vernon townships, 9 a.m., Franklin Furnace; 10 a.m., Haverhill; 10:30 a.m., Ohio Furnace: 11 p.m., Powellsville; 1 p.m., Empire; 2 p.m., Lyra; 2:30 p.m., Vernon; 3 p.m., Lick Run.
