Scioto County Fair Adjudged Best in 1949

COLUMBUS.O. -(UP)- The Scioto county fair today held the Myers Y. Cooper trophy for the "best county fair in Ohio in 1949."
The Rev. Lawrence Hall rector of All Saints Episcopal church and a director of the fair association accepted the award on behalf of the Scioto fair at a banquet of the Ohio Fair Managers Association here last night.
The Sandusky and Van Wert county fairs and the Plain City independent fair were runners-up .
Lawrence P. Lake of Cincinnati was re-elected president.
Other officers re-elected were:
R.S. Hull of Fremont and Clair L. Hull of Wellington vice-presidents: Mrs.
Don A Detrick of Bellefontaine executive secretary: E.U. Bell of Xenia, treasurer.
