Tack, Carton Shortage May Close Shoe Plants

PORTSMOUTH, O. (UP). - Scareity of tacks and cardboard cartons today threatened to close down two Portsmouth shoe factories. Officials of the Selby Shoe Co. and the Williams Manufacturing Co. informed their employees of the threatened shutdown. Both plants make women's and misses' shoes.
