A Portsmouth Shoe Manufacturer Visits Marion on a Tour of Inspection

Mr. Selby, of the Drew-Selby Company, Portsmouth, Ohio, one of the largest shoe manufacturing concerns in the state, was in the city today. Mr. Selby does not sell goods on the road., but is out on a tour of inspection, trying to glean knowledge of modernizing his factory. He expects to place in an electric light and power system, and while at Columbus decided to come on here and insect the Marion plant. He was more than well pleased with the Marion Electric Light and Power company plant, and expects to put the same kind in the factory at Portsmouth. Mr. Selby was also pleased with the city and with its manufacturing enterprises.
