Tyler Book

A welcome home celebration in honor of Minfords resident Specialist 4th Class J. Tyler Book of the 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky., for the safe return after a tour of duty that lasted 11months. The celebration is scheduled from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the James Irwin Post American Legion in Minford. Parents, Rick and Terri Book, extend the invitation to the community along with Book's friends and relatives.

Book, a 2002 graduate of Minford High School joined the Army the same month as graduating from high school. Throughout most of his tour of duty with the 101st Strike Force in Iraq, Book was stationed in Mosul, situated just north of Baghdad.
