Vernon Stiltner dies in Tennesse

    Spec. 4 Vernon Stiltner Jr. 18, of Camp Bennet, Sciotoville Rt. 4, died Friday as a result of a auto accident near New Providence, Tennesse.

    Stiltner, returning to Fort Campbell, KY.  After a 20 day leave at home, was a passenger in a car which struck a bridge abutment.  He died later in Fort Campbell Army Hospital. 

Surviving are his parents Vernon and Mildred Burt Stiltner of Camp Bennet, Sciotoville Rt.4, six sisters, Mrs. Raymond Adkins of Lorain, Mrs. Williams Warner of Fort Knox, Mrs.Charles Brown of Lorain, and Kathryn Joyce Ann, and Faye Alma, all at home; four brothers: John Douglas, David Lee, Raymond and Leslie all at home. 

Funeral services are to be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Christian Baptist Church, of which he was a member, with Mrs. Ruby Carver officiating.  Burial is to be in Wheelersburg Cemetery under direction of Gill Funeral Home.
