Sgt. Forest Dever, former teacher in the Madison twp. school, lost his life in New Guinea according to a war department message received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dever of Route 139 north of Minford.

His father is clerk of the Madison twp board.  Sgt. Dever was on a leave of absense from the schooll and had been in service two years.  A sister, Vivian Dever, is in the WAVES.  Another sister, Mrs. George Coles, resides on Mabert Rd.
