MHS Media Center Rules
2002 - 2003


 

  1. Students need to sign in at the circulation desk. Study hall students are not allowed to return to study hall unless they have a note from the teacher. Study hall students must come directly to the media center from study hall.
  2. Students must have a signed pass from their teacher when coming to the media center from a class. You will not be admitted without one.
  3. Food and beverages are not allowed.
  4. It is your responsibility to leave your work area clean. Please return periodicals, newspapers, and other materials away.
  5. Students are allowed in the media center one period a day unless they are doing research or special assignments and then they have unlimited access.
  6. The computers are available for all to use, however, students doing class assignments will be given first priority. Only software loaded on our network is permissible to use (see acceptable use policy). Misuse of the computers will result in the students removal from the system. The computer rules are posted in the media center.
  7. Library materials may be checked out for 2 weeks. More than 1 item may be borrowed at a time. Items may be renewed. Borrowing privileges will be denied to students with fines or overdue items.
  8. Students displaying unacceptable behavior will be suspended from the media center for 2 weeks for the first offense, 6 weeks for the second offense, and the remainder of the year for the third offense.
