POSTER, BANNER, & LABEL MAKING EQUIPMENT

    We have recently purchased Pro Image Plus Printer, & Pro Painter Plus Label Maker for district use.  We have also made several samples and sent them to Mr. Allen and Mr. Lloyd for you to see.  High school staff can check in the media center.  This is a monochrome system ( projects can only be one color), that uses thermal paper, so no cartridges are needed.  The colors we have are red, black, orange, green, and blue.  You may reverse the color for variety.

    The label maker uses a self adhesive plastic tape and is also monochrome.  Currently we only have 3" red and black tape.  Other colors and width may be added later.

    Operating the system is not difficult.  An 8 1/2  x 11 copy that you have created from any program or worksheet is scanned through the machine to make a 23 x 31 poster.  Photos and newspaper articles can also be scanned.  Gala Rio is the software program that contains templates, graphics, and fonts to create banners and posters.  I have made a copy of these and sent to each building with samples.  The software has been networked to all of the teachers computers'.  The first time you use Gala Rio you must install it and after that you begin the program from the start command.

    You may create posters and print them to your printer to make a copy.  To make the poster you can come to the high school, or send us your copy and color instructions, or save it to a disk and send that to us and we will print it for you.

    Banners will be more difficult.  You cannot do them from your computer.  That part of the program operates only to the computer the machine is attached to.  You are welcome to come over and do your own or tell us what you want and my library workers will see what they can create for you.

    A cold laminator is included so you may wish to have some of your projects laminated.

    The software for the label & sticker machine cannot be networked.  At this time we can only do very basic labels.  We will let you know when this is working.  Again you are welcome to come over and experiment or let us know what you need and we will make them for you.
