                                                   A Note from the Teacher:
"Happiness for a teacher lies in the joy of a child's
achievement and the thrill of creativety helping to shape our
                                                  nation's future."

It is my goal to provide a classroom in which every student
is comfortable to learn.  I want to combine the structure of
consistency with flexibility of "teachable moments".  I
believe we learn best from our mistakes, and from what we
                                                  enjoy doing.

I consider being an influence in young lives a privilege, and
an all-important task.  Sometimes I get discouraged, and
there are days that I wonder what in the world I am trying
to do, but I have never regretted my decision to be a
                                                  teacher.

I believe that parents have the most difficult job in the
world, as I am a parent of three.  I wish all the parents of
my students to know how important you are in the success of
my students.  By working with you, I hope to offer the
encouragement, influence, and open-mindedness to challenge
your children (and mine) to find a love for learning, and
                                                  success within themselves.

After all, "Children are our most valuable natural resource."
