Building Update

Lightening protection is in the process of being installed.  Data Drop boxes are expected to be installed in several more classrooms.  The sewer lines are ready to be dug and connected to our current lines.  The roof will be "dryed" in after some delays due to the weather.  We are getting ready to switch from temporary to permanent electric power.

Loose equipment and furniture is scheduled to be considered for the high school.  EPA permits are being processed for the new wastewater treatment plant which will be under construction soon.

We are still on the bubble as to getting in at the end of August.  October 11 is the contract date for completion.  The weather has become a factor and has held us back in crucial areas.  We will adjust and hope for some good days.

In related developments, we are forming a Minford Schools Community Support Committee to consider all those items that are not covered under the project such as additional landscaping, stage items for the gym, etc.  The first meeting will be held on Thursday, February 10, at 6 p.m. in the high school library.  We hope to expand from a core group of community members as we work on ways to fund additional enhancements to our project that people would want to see.
