New Building Updates
From Dr. Meade
December 17, 1999
The second floor is being constructed.
We hope to have some roofs in place by January.
Doors and windows will be shipped soon and the large heat
recovery wheels for the heating/cooling units have been shipped and will
be here next week.
The East parking lot have received several inches of gravel
and, if the weather gets better, a base coat of asphalt will be laid.
The interior scheme has been selected with scarlet and
grey being the dominant colors. Burgundy lockers will grace the halls
and we will have the Coat of Arms as a brick relief in the lobby.
We are keeping our fingers crossed that we can move into
the building this August with limited use.
I will be meeting with the Ohio High Schools Facility
Commission of Friday to do a design review for the middle/primary project.
Minford School District has been approved for
additional funds to help pay for the deep foundations and to provide for
inflationary costs. The Controlling Board approved on July 26, 1999 the
following funds:
Foundations - $2,909,812
Inflation - $937,380
Total - $3,847,192
The new total project budget is now $34,742,192.
